Not happy with your LightCam? We'll make it right. Here's everything you need to know.
Return Policy
30 days from delivery — if you change your mind, send it back within 30 days for a full refund on the hardware. No hoops.
Device must be in original condition — not physically damaged, with original packaging if possible. You don't need to reset it — we'll handle that on our end.
1-Year Warranty
LightCam hardware is covered against defects in materials and workmanship for 1 year from your purchase date.
What's covered
- Device won't power on out of the box
- Camera hardware failure under normal use
- Manufacturing defects
What's not covered
- Physical damage (drops, cracks, crushed housing)
- Water damage beyond the device's rated protection
- Damage from use with a dimmer switch (dimmer switches will damage the camera — see Which Fixtures and Switches Work With LightCam)
- Normal wear (surface scratches, finish wear over time)
- Damage from unauthorized modification or repair
How to Start a Return or Warranty Claim
Email us at support@lightcam.com with:
- Your order number (or the email address you used at purchase)
- A brief description of the issue — one or two sentences is fine
- For warranty claims: a photo or short video showing the problem
We'll respond within 1 business day. If the issue sounds like something a quick fix can solve, we'll try that first — no return needed. If a return is the right path, we'll send you a return authorization and next steps.
Shipping
We cover return shipping for:
- Defective devices (any warranty claim)
- Wrong item sent
- Item arrived damaged
You cover return shipping for:
- Remorse returns (changed your mind, bought the wrong quantity, etc.)
If we're covering shipping, we'll email you a prepaid return label — nothing to print and pay for yourself.
Refund or Replacement?

Refund timeline: Once we receive your device, we'll process your refund within 3 business days. It typically takes 5–10 business days to appear on your card depending on your bank.
Replacement timeline: Replacement ships within 2 business days of us receiving your device.
Our promise: We'll respond within 1 business day and resolve your return within 5 business days of receiving the device back.

Once you've received your return authorization from us, send the device to:

Please include your RMA number (we'll give you one when we authorize the return) on the outside of the package so we can match it up quickly.
Subscription Refunds
If you're on LightCam Plus and returning your device, we'll refund the full current month's subscription charge. Past months are not refunded.
If you're on the free trial, there's nothing to refund — it's free.
